It’s rare that the cougar lifestyle is shown in popular culture and movies. Most films show traditional relationships between people of similar ages, but we love to watch movies that pique our personal affinity for dating experienced women known as MILFs and Cougars.
“My favorite cougar film is definitely The Graduate.” John Mynot, a dating analyst at RealCougars.com told us, “but there are lesser known movies that many people will relate to, especially those in their own cougar/cub relationships.”
Here are a few of our favorite Cougar movies you may not have heard of…
Tadpole – This is a very taboo film! Oscar, a young man, comes home from his fancy French school and falls in love with his cardiologist stepmother who is played by the beautiful Sigourney Weaver. He also has sexual trysts with her best friend. In the film, Oscar just doesn’t have any interest in girls his own age, preferring those with an intelligence that matches his own.
My Tutor – Crispin Glover stars as the cub in this 1983 classic. He is 18 years old and about to head off to college, when he falls in love with his older French tutor. His goal for the summer was supposed to be to lose his virginity, a pact he had made with friends. At the start, he has a love interest his own age, but as soon as he meets tutor Terry, his affinity for the college girl fades.
White Palace – Susan Sarandon plays a middle-aged woman who works at a fast food restaurant, where she falls in love with a twenty-something ad executive. Their unlikely connection makes for a very steamy romance, as is evidenced by the cover of the video which features the couple half dressed in an intimate embrace.
Laurel Canyon – In this movie, record producer Jane is making her cub boyfriend’s album. The age discrepancy isn’t really the focus, and that’s why we love it! They’re just a normal couple who happen to be a cougar and a cub. This movie has sizzle, featuring Jane’s son’s fiancé engaging in a skinny-dipping threesome.
